Biography
Born into a family of musicians. Ausiàs Parejo has won over 40 first prizes in national and international competitions, including the International Alhambra Guitar Competition (2022), the Tokyo International Guitar Competition (2024), and the Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra Classica “Michele Pittaluga” (2025). He has also been awarded second prizes at the Andrés Segovia (2022) and Francisco Tárrega (2025) International Guitar Competitions, and in 2024 received the “La Razón CV” Prize for his artistic career.
Ausiàs Parejo has performed in the United States, Japan, China, Mexico, and across Europe, appearing in major venues such as the Palau de la Música de Valencia, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, the United Palace in New York, and the Shanghai Concert Hall. As a soloist, he has collaborated with leading orchestras, including the Orquestra de València and Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, as well as performed with the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
His discography includes Con tanta tenerezza (2018) and Brouwer, Erena & Others: Guitar Works (2024), the latter nominated for a Latin GRAMMY and released by Naxos. Trained by his father, Rubén Parejo, and other distinguished teachers, Ausiàs Parejo stands out for his balance of virtuosity and expressiveness.
