Dorel Golan
Biography
During recent years Dorel Golan had emerged as the leading Israeli young pianist. She has been praised for her formidable technique and through her eloquent phrasing, mastery of keyboard colour, and in particular her unique sound she has been called "a true Poet of the Piano". She has developed an international career, which brought her to the prestigious Ruhr Festival alongside with pianists such as Argerich, Barenboim, Pollini and Ashkenazy. Described by the German review as "a giant among the young keyboard artists, who wins tremendous enthusiastic excitement".
She performs regularly in Israel and abroad to critical acclaim. Golan has played with orchestras in more than 50 countries in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North&South America and the Middle East and in important recital venues and festivals. Regarded by the critics as "sensational, "captivating with witchcraft artistic personality", "Magician", she collaborated and performed under the baton of renowned conductors.

She performed in Israel with all the important orchestras including the Israel Philharmonic, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Rishon Lezion Symphony Orchestra, the Tel-Aviv Soloists Ensemble, The Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Camerata, the Beer Sheba Sinfonietta, the Israel Kibbutz Orchestra, the Young Philharmonic orchestra, Raanana Symphonette, and other orchestras.
She performed with outstanding success in prestigious recital series in Salle Cortot in Paris, the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Town Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Tivoli Hall in Copenhagen, The Hermitage Museum Theatre in St. Petersburg, Grieg Hall in Bergen, the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the Forbidden City Hall in Beijing, Nezahualcoyotl Hall in Mexico City, ZK Matthews Great Hall in Pretoria, the National Centre for the Performing in Mumbai, Dublin National Concert Hall, Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, Smetana Hall in Prague, Bulgaria Concert Hall in Sofia, Salle Moliere in Lyon, Vigado Hall in Budapest, the Tel-Aviv Museum, Tel-Aviv Performing Arts Center, as well as in international festivals: Rotterdam Gergiev Festival, Croatia Festival, Flanders Festival International Ghent, New York's Summit Music Festival, Shanghai Festival, Hong Kong Festival, Israel Festival, Eilat International Chamber Music Festival, Spring Festival, Felicja Blumental Festival, among others.
Dorel Golan is 1st prize winner of numerous national and international competitions: the Marsala International Piano Competition, the Bremen International Piano Competition, the Clairmont Competition, the Ariana Katz Competition, The Young Artists Competition.
Dorel Golan has accomplished both B.M and M.M degrees with highest honors from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel-Aviv University, studying with Prof Arie Vardi.
Since 1992 she has been a recipient of the America - Israel Culture Foundation Prizes.
Her recitals and concerts were broadcasted and recorded by numerous stations around the world.
