Biography

Stanislav Soloviev was born in Leningrad (St. Petersburg) in 1979. He graduated from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (class of A.M. Sandler) and postgraduate study (classes of A.M. Sandler and N.A. Arzumanova).

The pianist is a winner internaitonal competitions. He is a laureate and winner of five all-Russian and international competitions, including four first prizes, in particular at the Piano Competition named after F. Liszt in Wroclaw.

He actively tours both in Russia and abroad. He has taken part in many festivals, including such as "Stars of the White Nights" and "Silver Lyre" (St. Petersburg), "Aix-en-Provence" (France), "Music of the World" (Jerusalem), "Rising Stars" (Riga). In April 2001 Stanislav gave a debut solo recital in the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) followed by recitals in Latvia, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Serbia, France, Poland, Greece, and South Korea. Stanislav played with: Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Saint-Petersburg Capella Sympony Orchestra, ,Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, St.-Petersburg University Symphony Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra.

He pays special attention to chamber music - he actively participates in chamber concerts, is a member of the Piano Trio of the Philharmonic Society of St. Petersburg. 

Apart from his concert activities Stanislav works as a Chamber Music Professor at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory. He is an honorary member of the Philharmonic Society of St. Petersburg. Since 2003 he also has a position of guest-concertmaster in the Summer Musical Academy (Marktoberdorf, Germany).

His discography includes CD with a solo recital recorded in Germany (Beethoven, Scriabin, Liszt, Prokofiev).
